About AVE

FIND YOUR AVENUE.

A love of the game. A curiosity about flight.

Our founder started playing disc golf at 14. Years later, working as a United States Air Force aircraft mechanic gave him a deeper appreciation for aerodynamics, precision, and what makes things fly.

That curiosity followed him onto the course. Understanding how air moves around an aircraft raised new questions about what happens when a disc leaves your hand.

A ROUND ABOVE THE CLOUDS.

Fun fact: our founder once played disc golf on an airplane at 36,000 feet. A love of flight and a love of the game, together in one very unusual place. NKAWTG!

From Sci-Fly to AVE

Sci-Fly began as a way to bring disc golf and the science of flight together. It became the foundation for Disc Golf Avenue: a place to make useful equipment, explore new ideas, and help players understand their game.

More ways to throw

Today, that work includes Union, Alley, and Arcade, along with Clic—our interface for moving a compatible GameProofer sensor between discs.

GameProofer helps you measure your throws. Link Disc Golf brings compatible throw data into a simulator, where you can see a simulated flight and play holes at home. Clic helps connect those experiences to the discs you actually throw.

The people make the round

The best part of disc golf has always been the people. The friends you meet on a local course. The weekend rounds that turn into stories. The last throw that becomes one more before sunset.

As AVE grows, we want to keep that feeling at the center of what we do: make things that help people enjoy the game, learn something, and keep coming back together.
